To What End?
I’m getting older. The changes that come with age are beginning to rear their ugly heads. As I get physically older, my personal attitudes and philosophies of every aspect of life and living are changing. Lately, a question has been coming to mind whenever I try to make a decision. As I examine the different aspects of what I need to decide, I keep asking myself, “To what end?”

Ring 129 report for January 2026.
With the unusually mild weather for this season in the Midwest, we got off to a great start for the New Year on January 8. Jerry Jackson opened the meeting by teaching a no-sleight card routine. We then moved on to the theme of the meeting, wallet magic. Along with ring president Kelly Rusk, three other magicians—Keith Leff, Jerry Jackson and Cliff Norris–also demonstrated a variety of wallets that could be used for card magic, and they showed how the wallets could be used to steal and produce selected cards. Tom Burgoon then demonstrated a fake foam wallet that he had invented and marketed, which enabled him to vanish the entire wallet along with the contents.
